Chapman's 'Edge' 4/25/2007 by: Bassfan.com (DOCTALK)
Have you checked out Brent Chapman's stats recently? He's currently 8th in the Elite Series points. His best finish so far this season was 5th at the Delta, but he also scrambled for a respectable 29th at Clarks Hill after a pretty dismal practice. And his weight included an 8-05 toad – the biggest bass caught in the event.
He told BassFan that he caught the big fish on a wide-wobbling crank, and his line was key. "I was fishing 20-pound Gamma Edge fluorocarbon when I caught the 8-05. I caught it in some difficult cover, and that fish fought as hard as any fish I've ever had on."
He also offered this anecdote: "You know your line is good when you don't have any issues about confidence. You just know it's tough. And you also know it's good when other pros, who are sponsored by other line companies, come up and ask if they can get some from you."
